AC INC Roofing

Ethics and Standards

Operating principles AC INC Roofing applies to inspections, estimates, insurance claims, contracts, and crew conduct on every Colorado and Wyoming jobsite — including SB38 compliance and a no-deductible-waiver commitment.

Honest Roof Assessments

Our HAAG Certified inspectors are trained to find storm damage — and to call it out clearly when there isn't any. Most roofs we inspect after a storm don't need replacement. Telling a homeowner the truth ("your roof has 8–10 years of life left, save the deductible for now") is more important than booking the job. If there's a borderline call, we document both sides and let you decide.

  • Photo-documented inspection report on every visit, not just billable ones
  • Clear repair vs. replace recommendation with the reasoning visible
  • Public-safe pricing ranges on /pricing so you can sanity-check our quotes

Transparent Pricing & Contracts

Every contract spells out scope, materials by manufacturer + product code, warranty terms, schedule, payment milestones, and change-order rules before work begins. We don't pressure for same-day signatures, we don't add line items you didn't see at signing, and we don't bury the cancellation rights — Colorado SB38 (C.R.S. 6-22-101) gives you 72 hours after signing to cancel an insurance-funded roofing contract for any reason and we honor it without friction.

Responsible Insurance Claim Advocacy

When we document storm damage we document what is actually there: photos with metadata, measurements, manufacturer specs, and the relevant code citations. We do not invent damage, exaggerate scope, or coach homeowners to misrepresent timing. Colorado SB38 prohibits any contractor from waiving, rebating, or paying your deductible — and we won't. The deductible is your portion of the claim. Anyone who tells you otherwise is exposing you to insurance fraud.

  • No deductible waiving, rebating, or "absorbing" — illegal under C.R.S. 6-22-105
  • No "free roof" promises — every claim outcome belongs to the carrier and you, not the contractor
  • No coaching homeowners to file pre-existing damage as new storm damage
  • Adjuster meetings welcome — we want them to see what we saw

Clean Jobsites & Respectful Crews

Magnetic nail sweep on driveways, walkways, and lawns at the end of each work day. Tarps over landscaping. Materials staged out of sight from the street where possible. Crew breaks taken off-site, not on the curb. Background-checked installers. We work in your neighborhood — we want the next three jobs on the same block, which means leaving every roof better than we found the property.

How to Hold Us Accountable

If a job isn't hitting these standards, escalate immediately. Three paths, in order of urgency:

  • Active jobsite issue → call (303) 550-4530 and ask for the project manager assigned to your roof
  • Workmanship concern after closeout → email the office; we open a service ticket within one business day
  • Pattern issue or formal complaint → contact the Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) — they have a complaint process for member contractors and AC INC Roofing is a member

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you pay or "eat" my deductible?

No. Colorado SB38 (C.R.S. 6-22-105) makes it illegal for a roofing contractor to pay, rebate, waive, or otherwise absorb your insurance deductible on a roofing project funded by an insurance claim. Any contractor who offers this is breaking state law and exposing you to potential insurance fraud allegations. We document the deductible clearly on every invoice.

Do you charge for inspections?

Free inspections are standard for storm damage assessment, insurance-claim documentation, and pre-purchase visual reviews. Detailed paid inspections (full written report, manufacturer specs, recommended scope) are listed on /pricing and start at $300 — those are typically requested for real estate transactions or pre-warranty diagnostic work.

Can I get a quote without filing an insurance claim?

Yes. About a third of our work is cash / financed retail projects with no insurance involved. We can absolutely quote a roof, repair, or upgrade independent of any claim — and we'll often recommend AGAINST filing a claim if the damage doesn't exceed your deductible by enough to be worth the rate impact.
