AC INC Roofing Workmanship Warranty

Every residential roof replacement tier on /pricing includes a 10-year workmanship warranty. Workmanship warranty covers installation defects — the way the system was put together — and is separate from the manufacturer's coverage on the materials themselves. Coverage activates once the project passes its final municipal inspection and your written contract is closed out.

• Coverage period: 10 years from final inspection signoff
• Covers leaks attributable to install workmanship (flashing, fastening, deck prep, ventilation interfaces)
• Excludes acts of God (storm damage, falling trees, animals), foot traffic damage, and modifications by other trades
• Service calls scheduled by phone or via the support portal — most non-emergency repairs scheduled within 5 business days

Manufacturer Material Warranties

Material warranty coverage depends on the specific shingle, membrane, or panel system you install — and on whether AC INC Roofing's top-tier contractor credentials unlock the enhanced versions of that warranty. We register every project with the manufacturer at closeout so coverage starts the day the roof is finished, not weeks later when paperwork eventually catches up.

• CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster → SureStart PLUS (up to 50-year non-prorated)
• Malarkey Certified PRO → Limited Lifetime + 20-year non-prorated on Legacy / Vista AR
• GAF (Certified Contractor) → Silver Pledge® (10-year workmanship + 50-year material) on qualifying systems
• Owens Corning → standard limited lifetime material warranty on qualifying systems
• Carlisle / Holcim Elevate / Johns Manville → up to 30-year No Dollar Limit (NDL) on commercial single-ply systems

Five Years of Free Annual Inspections

Every residential roof replacement tier includes five years of free HAAG Certified annual inspections. The point isn't a sales touchpoint — it's catching small issues (lifted shingles after a downslope wind event, sealant aging on flashing, gutter pitch drift) before they cause leaks and before the warranty paperwork gets harder.

What Voids Warranty Coverage

Manufacturer warranties have specific install and care requirements. The most common ways homeowners accidentally void coverage:

• Letting another contractor cut into the roof for solar, HVAC, satellite, or skylight installs without the original installer being involved
• Inadequate attic ventilation (most manufacturer warranties require balanced intake/exhaust ventilation calculated to NFA tables)
• Pressure-washing the roof (almost universally voids granule warranties)
• Adding a second layer of shingles over the existing roof later (voids most shingle material warranties)

What Transfers When You Sell

Most manufacturer material warranties transfer once for free within a defined window — usually 30 to 60 days after closing — when the new homeowner registers with the manufacturer. Workmanship warranties from manufacturer programs (Atlas Pro+ Platinum, CertainTeed SureStart Plus, Malarkey Certified PRO, GAF Silver Pledge) often have transfer rules that vary by program. Frequently Asked Questions

Does every roof have the same warranty?

No. The 10-year workmanship warranty from AC INC Roofing is the same on every residential replacement, but the manufacturer material warranty depends on the specific shingle / membrane line you choose. A Class 4 shingle on an enhanced platform (Atlas Pro+ Platinum, CertainTeed SureStart Plus) looks very different on paper than a Class 3 shingle on standard coverage — even though we install both with the same crews.

Can warranty coverage transfer to a future homeowner?

Yes. Most manufacturer material warranties transfer once for free within 30–60 days of property closing. The workmanship side varies: AC INC Roofing's 10-year transfers once with the property at no cost; manufacturer-program workmanship warranties (Atlas Pro+ Platinum, CertainTeed SureStart Plus, Malarkey Certified PRO, GAF Silver Pledge) have program-specific rules we walk through at signing.

What happens if AC INC Roofing isn't in business in 10 years?

Manufacturer warranties survive contractor closure — they're written between you and the manufacturer. If AC INC Roofing's workmanship warranty needs to be honored after we close (we don't plan on it), the manufacturer-program enhanced workmanship warranties from GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed are insured by the manufacturer and remain enforceable.

Do I have to do anything to "activate" my warranty?

No — we register every project with the manufacturer at closeout. You'll receive the manufacturer's warranty certificate by email within 30 days of final inspection. Keep it with the closing documents on the home; you'll need it if you sell or file a claim.

Does hail damage trigger warranty coverage or insurance?
